| ANIHILIST is a combustible mixture of three powerful minds, physical abilities, and downright devotion to the music of metal. Formed in Payson, Arizona in early 2006, the band quickly began writing material for a demo to spread their message. Drummer Chris Campbell joined forces with an already powerful brotherhood of musicians, Cade Deyle and his mighty Axe, and Dane Deyle on the bass/vocals. After four months of playing together, the stage was beckoning, and ANIHILIST wanted to answer the call. They recorded their demo album, elegantly titled: “A Demon-Stration,” and began playing shows in Mesa, Tempe, and Phoenix,AZ giving the demos away, attracting crowds, and meeting some kick ass bands and new fans/friends along the way. In February of 2007, the band went to work on their first full length album. In March of 2008, their album "Denial of All Reality" was completed and ready to hit the streets. Recorded at Immortal Audio Studios in Phoenix, Az by Bobby Chavez, the band was very pleased with the completion of their first full length album, and continued playing shows and metal clubs promoting the new album. With a unique sound influenced by such greats as Pantera, Slayer, Megadeth, and oh so many more, they are delivering a new breed and style of metal that combines devastating riffs with an always melodic stream of “Damn I need to hear that again” metal, that they define as AnihilisTic. They are a three piece powerhouse that won’t take no for an answer, don’t settle for anything less than perfection, and want nothing more than to huff, puff, and blow your fucking venue down!!! ANIHILIST finished their 2nd studio album, in November 2010 titled Lay Down & DIe. |
